I am not an amazing cook, but I’m amazing at finding little tricks that make me seem like I am.
For instance, sometimes mixing something sweet with a dish that is traditionally savory — like adding raisins to meatloaf — can be an unexpected twist that turns a conventional meal into something memorable.
Not only are people surprised when I flip a familiar food’s flavor into something new and exciting, but the little twist I’m adding is usually saves me money.
That’s because I’m usually adding an ingredient I already have laying around the house, like brown sugar or chocolate.
One party-pleasing recipe I’ve recently stumbled upon are these mouthwatering meatballs. Not only are they delicious, but they’re incredibly easy to make — and they put to good use something I always have laying around: grape jelly!
To make these incredible little meatballs at home, be sure to follow this recipe, and watch the great video tutorial below:
Ingredients:
1 (32-oz.) bag of frozen, fully cooked meatballs (about 50)
2 cups barbecue sauce
2 cups grape jelly
Directions:
Add meatballs, barbecue sauce, and jelly to the slow cooker.
Cook on high for three hours.
Skewer.
Enjoy!
